Free eye treatment camp in Bardibas by Buddha eye center

In june 19,2019, Buddha eye center has completed first month of services, which was organised by joint collaboration of Mahakaruna society Nepal and Bardabis municipality . The eye center called  press meeting on the occasion of first month completed of opening eye center. Dr. Nabaraj Gautam, Chairman of the Mahakaruna Society Nepal operated Buddha eye center said, “Mahakaruna Society Nepal is seeking kind hands from international community to provide support for childhood blindness of school children in the marginalized community”. The eye center planned to free eye check up 1000 patients and free distributes the glasses, But the center checked 1746 free eye checked up.

Out of the number 1746 there were 1149 school children and 597 adults and old aged people. According to the report found in examination of the 1149 students, 101 children had refracted error, 1 children had congenital cataract, 14 had squint, 14 had low vision due to amblyopya, 2 had corneal opacity, 1 had pthysis bulbi, 12 had ocular trauma and 31 patients found with cataract. The center check up free to all patients and distributed 794 spectacles and plan to distribute 300 more spectacles in future for needful people. The center has continuous program  for prevention of childhood blindness in Nepal.
